Took the vent window out of a 79 to re-chrome the steel. Now ready to put the glass back in the frame. I've never done it, so I am looking for some help. How do I put the glass back in? What "glue" and do I put it on the glass or in the frame?
Thanks.

1979 what? Usually, a setting tape is utilized, creating a tight fight of the glass and frame. Typically, the frame gets pressed or hammered onto the glass, trim excess, and install. This probably as vague as your question, but should get you going.

Depending on what car it is, they may have used tape or they may have just used a strip of rubber that went in between the glass and channel, and held the glass in with friction. Tell us the make and model.
