Picked up both of these from HD to see if carbide edges last longer in my utility knife use. Milwaukee was $1.18 (23.6 cents/ea) for 5 and Dewalt $4.95 for 5 (.99 cents/ea).

Funny thing I noticed, the Dewalt 50 pack of the carbide edge blades was made in England. The 5 pack pictured is coo USA.

I'm interested to hear your results. Utility knife blades are so cheap i could never justify buying the carbide ones. I've probably got 500 laying around.

I bought some because I'm tired of them dulling so fast when cutting carpet and such. I bought a 10 pack of carbide and split them with 2 of my brothers, and we'll all report back to each other about what we think of them. Cheap Christmas gift.

I'm interested too, I find the Irwin HSS blades to be pretty good, but mostly use cheap Chinese or Korean- made blades at work (they're free). I recently ran through a handful of the plain steel Dewalt blades (came with the knife) and wasn't impressed in the slightest.
