Is there any alternative? I don't have one and I'm trying to adjust my weedeater...I can't fit any of my needle nose in there...what else can I try?
If it is a splined adjustment, you are not allowed to buy the screw driver legally by EPA guidelines. Anyone caught selling you that tool can be fined ~$3500 per screw driver. This is straight from the Husqvarna group as well as MTD.
Yes its splined but that doesn't make any sense? Why not?
A screwdriver?
What "exactly" do you need to do? most adjustments can be done with either a screw driver or an allen wrench, i've never needed anything more. Do you have any pictures?
So far i've been able to do Mikuni, edelbrock, Holly, and other carbs with basic hand tools, maybe the occasional extension to get into a hard spot.
I just found a ton of them on amazon how come they can sell them?
because the EPA can only go after the law abiding repair shops/dealers....some private buyers have been contacted, offered to pay the fine, or face prosecution.
here is a link FYI,

If you clean the jets and passages the engine should run fine in spec.
Its not the idle screw its to little splined screws I will take a picture after this tornado comes through...also this on a weedeater not a car
Haha fined … if you believe that well.. hey I got a bridge to sell you .If it is a splined adjustment, you are not allowed to buy the screw driver legally by EPA guidelines. Exactly. You should be cleaning the carb, rather than attempting to “fix” the symptom rather than the cause. If you clean the jets and passages the engine should run fine in spec.
Why bring up this old thread that's almost 10 years old?Haha fined … if you believe that well.. hey I got a bridge to sell you .
