Hey guys, how many of you guys have a 2500 chevy cargo van that you park in your garage that has a 8" tail door opening? The reason im asking is because im planning to purchase a work van very soon.

This is a 2008 2500 and will just slide thru a 7' door.
it is exactly 7' tall and the highest point is at the rear.
It's a comany van so it lives outside the only time it get to come in is to thaw it out when it starts to look like this.
The garage door is adjusted all the way up and is right at 7'
you have to pull in slow.
@8 foot you have a foot to spare.

My garage door is 8' and opens to 7'-5", no problem getting my 2500 H.d. Chev express in. I have about 4" to spare.

Waaay back when, I could put an '82 Dodge Maxivan in the garage with a 7' door. I had to put about 500 lbs in the back to make the springs squat enough to clear. If the Chevy won't go with an 8' door, time to get the door adjusted!

Worth it to make garage door higher as it is a selling point based on the fact that it will handle a handicapped high roof van.
