From looking at them at the store a while back, they didn't seem like anything special when compared to Vaughan and Warwood.

Dead blow pall peens work well. No bounce back. I use the Trusty cook stubby in my profile picture all the time. It's too bad Carlyle doesn't have a equivalent version.

Am guessing they are covered by Napa/Carlyle warranty just like the rebranded Tektons. Of course it sort of depends on having a friendly local Napa.

I have a 32 oz version of the carlyle ball peen. it is a very well balanced hammer.
There are at least 18 NAPAs within 25 min or so of me (and 8 or so pretty close). All but two of the farthest ones are owned by the same folks. I've been to several over the years for both parts and tools, but they don't seem very tool-focused. I'm not sure how picky they are about receipts, etc., but the vibe makes me a little skeptical...

My closest NAPA wants receipts for everything. It is a franchise location.

If you have an account with them, your receipts should be recorded by them, at least that's how they used to operate. Also as far as I know they are all "Franchise" stores and go by regions, so all stores within a certain region will be owned by the same person.
Wow that's interesting. Warwood only makes one ball peen hammer and it's a 32 ounce.
