General consensus is don't skimp on flare nut wrenches. I had cheap until I got Wurth. No looking back at all. I just don't need to.

SO is generally the most suggested by far with all the rest getting mixed or bad reveiws.

The parts stores and new Asain CM stuff gets ragged on pretty hard too. Some of it with good reason.

I prefer my SK to my snap-on. Gearwrench is surprisingly not terrible; the flex head versions are very handy.

All in all, if you live in the rust belt - NO flare nut wrench will prevent rounding 100% of the time.

You are going to find out line wrenches are one of the most disputed tools, besides the notion that snap on is the best. :dunno:

Are you wanting metric or standard?

i have a metric set the work beautifully 4 me.
:badteeth:

Sea air and snowbelt region that means undercarriage rust. Do you mind posting pics to give us a better idea of the wrenches that work for you?

My Wurth are the double flex high end Asain origin ones. Very precise fit.
Almost too precise for when the tube ends have damages or crusted rust. I have to clean off road dirt and rust to get them on most times.

They do leave me reaching for the pliers on the really bad messes I get.

I bought a set at NAPA after the local Snapon dealer didn't respond to my email asking for a place I could meet him on his route to buy a SO set. I have been very pleased with them. I work on a lot of antique stuff and have been very happy with them. My dad has been a SO man for over 60 years as a professional mechanic, he used my Carlyle set while he was here helping me and was impressed as well.

I've not used anything but SK, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with them...

Sk Line wrenches spread out and slip. they ****. I do own SK flare crowsfeet sockets and they always work fine

I have MAC Proto and Snap On line wrenches in my box now and they all work great. The advantage with the snapons, compared to the protos for example, is they clock the Hex shape in the tool so that you can flip the wrench around and get another turn on the fastener.

Ive used the flex head ones sold by gear wrench and they hold well

How long have you had the S-K line wrenches? Did you buy them new?
