Carlyle semi-deep metric socket set?

I'm looking for a decent semi- deep metric 3/8 drive socket set. I could swear that Carlyle made one but I can't come up with a part number. Am I mistaken or did not make a semi-deep set?

I have the carlyle semi deeps metric and sae in both 3/8 and 1/4 drive. really nice quality.

^ yeh nice sockets, bit overpriced but not snapon overpriced .
I like buying rail sets and rails not bad either, only got the 3/8 .

I love the Koken semi deeps I just got, but it does skip a size or two that you'll want if working on European stuff.

I have a bunch of the Carlyle sets (mid length and swivel), and they are really nice. They are pretty expensive for made in Taiwan, though.

That's the question. Are they made with significantly better steel or more precise broaching compared to the Gearwrench semi-deeps which are also made in Taiwan and less than half the cost of the Carlye?

I don't think it's a scam and my impression is that Napa specs a higher quality tool than Apex but I wish I knew if it were really worth the price difference.

Having picked up and played with the gear wrench and the Carlyle, I purchased Carlyle. Don’t really know what pushed me toward spending the extra cash, other than the Uber-precise, “they felt higher quality in my hands.”

I called my local store who I have a commercial account with and they wanted to charge me 56.49 plus 10.00 shipping! I purchased it online for 45.20 plus 7.95 shipping and 4.01 tax.
If I like them I will buy the 1/4" set also.

The Taiwan mids are a little longer than the murrican mids they are closer to the length of the smaller sized deep sockets in sets from sk and wright. Those koken would be the shortest at 35mm the gw is 45 and the matco are 40

The Gearwrench mids are also broached deeper than the Snap-on mids. Hard to say which way is better; it seems to vary by the task.

Same, I'm sure carlyle are fine, but the deal on that GW mid set was fantastic, my first grab sockets too

I also got the gearwrench deal for both sets, think it was 55 bucks for both if I remember right. Really like them. Not always the first set I grab but they do get used a bunch. Usually the perfect size for most fasteners, not to short but not to long.
