Seem a little pricey to me for Taiwan.

Tools from NAPA have never been cheap. However, you hit the nail on the head as many people don't think Taiwan made tools are worth much. Napa will have to get past this with quality service, on time delivery, and keeping tools in stock.

I always find this concept of Taiwan tools not being worth much funny when you look at some of the Taiwan made tools and their prices found on Matco, Mac, and Cornwell trucks. Those prices make the Carlyle line a bargain.

I also know that it's a mindset too. Many will gladly pay extra for witte, knipex, hazet, facom, and stahlwille to name a few European brands but, would never do that for a taiwan brand.

Time will tell if the Carlyle line will sink or swim.

I agree 1000% I personally think people pay to much for American made tools, but if people think its better they will keep paying it.

Its like foreign cars vs American cars, same concept

Did you receive yours yet? I'm going to order a brass hammer, I know bad brass hammers will split or break so it would be a good test.

Nope. The ratchets weren't picked at the warehouse today. I'll stop by on the way home tomorrow, order should be good to go. :)

I have to say I am firm believer in MADE IN USA, we had a small farm so I grew up working on stuff. We had dirt bikes, I picked up on the metric system, I taught myself how to work on them, bought basket bikes then sold them and bought new mx bikes. Even 25+ years ago, I bought Made in USA (was a given then). I got a job at a Kawasaki shop, had mostly Craftsman it did not hold up to day to day use.

I bought some SK wrenches/rachets/sockets still have them. Then I stepped up and bought Snap-On the difference is there. The metal quality is night & day, I saved up money and paid cash buying 'sets' a few at a time. I have Snap-On, some Matco, Mac, SK, Napa (Made in USA) and some old Craftsman (when it was Made in USA). There is just no comparison, I fixed a friend of mines transfer case over the weekend, and the tools I bought many years ago performed flawlessly.

I work in IT now, so they do not get used as often, but they are worth a lot of money. I use them working on my motocross bikes, and any work on my trucks.

Buying Made in USA is QUALITY, I will put up my Chevrolet Silverado's both high millage one Z71 with 225,000 miles on it, it has NEVER let me down. The other my wifes truck has 123,000 miles on it.

I have worked on a lot of friends vehicles over the years, Toyota by far is the worst, followed by Nissan/Honda. The metal quality is poor at best and bearings, don't get me started. I am not sure what type of metal quality they use in Toyota truck frames but it is poor, they rust in half.

I have NEVER seen an American Truck/Car rust in half, even ones up North.

Just my 2 cents, I do not want to support Communist countries who want to help disarm America...

Consumer reports/car magazines/resale value /Jd power polls would disagree with your statements about the cars but thanks for the input

I would disagree on the 'power polls' from experience and the fact they are not real world paid by advertisers and marketing.

Toyota is the #1 recalled manufacturer in the world, the frames rusting in half that is fact.

#1 in units? It's because they sold the most. If ford had a recall on a f150 they would also be in that echelon just based on sheer numbers.
