Carlyle vs Wf adjustable

Hi everyone, so I have been planning on buying the rigid brand adjustable wrenches off amazon, but I have never actually handled one, the reviews are solid and I was all set to get them but....today I walked into napa and saw they had these adjustables and picked one up and fell in love, This is the nicest adjustable I have ever handled, the jaw has no slop, at all, it's tighter than the old black oxide crescents and a few other American adjustable I have seen, has anyone compares both? Additionally this adjustable is nice and thin but the handle is flat and wide for comfort, I am a heavy equip mechanic and would need the 24 inch which is running for $200:eyecrazy: seems high, what do you guys think, based on the 15" I purchased, I will certainly consider it.

Yeah, the Carlyle's are much better than any of my WF's in Proto or Craftsman iterations.

Yea that's kinda what I was thinking I was gonna hear, I mean when I say no slop I mean it I was like wow, super surprising, but then again I did play 60 some odd dollars for it vs 30-40 for a wf 15".

I have through 15" but I'm going to get at least the 18" and maybe the 24" down the road. They're leagues better than others available...

Uh, no... It doesn't... MAC sells them in a black version though IIRC.

The Carlyle is a Bahco knock off

Western Forge adjustable wrenches are good, but Irega/Channellock and Bahco/Snap On are certainly much better. Sounds like the Carlyle is closer to those in quality

Irega makes a nice adjustable wrench but I have owned some with more play than others (including WF).

There is going to be some variability in all brands.
