I rec'd a set of Carlyle long metric wrenches for my b-day. I got to use them some, and thought I'd share my impressions so far. They seem really well-made. The fit onto nuts/bolts was excellent, though I haven't really put the "non-slip" open-end to the test yet. The only thing strange was that the box-end seems to have a bit more of an angle to it than I'm used to. I guess that could be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on the situation. Overall, though, I like them.

I bought a set of Standard and Metric last fall right after my Napa started getting the Carlyle line in.Unfortunatly 2 months later I picked up a nice used set of Snap On Flank drive plus wrenches so I havent used the Carlyle wrenches as much as I'd like to.From what I have used of them, they seem pretty nice.

As much as I tried not to like Carlyle (Napa brand tools were first real ones I got, sad to see em go), they seem to be nice. I warrantied a few Napa things for Carlyle and it's quite nice. Wrenches included. Great stuff. Thinkin about trying one of their roto-head ratchets next.

The limited experience I have had with carlyle tools tells me they are quality stuff. Flare nut wrench took off a nut that was all rusty from 10 minnesotan winters with salt. Took off like a dozen with no problem actually.

Then again, I haven't had trouble with most of the tools I've used anyways!
