Hey all - first post, but been reading info on this site as a guest for years. Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, I did a search and came up with very little that would match my situation.
My house currently has an over-sized one car carport. It's about 16' x 22' and open on three sides. The fourth side is against the house. Two of the open sides have a knee wall about 24" tall along them. The carport does get direct sunlight on the floor, and will get wet around the edges when it storms and the rain gets blown in. There is a good 3-4 feet of concrete that extends out the front of the carport into the (gravel) driveway.
The concrete is in "ok" shape, but toward the front there are a few cracks and a nice chunk missing where the gutter used to drip. I plan to chip out and patch the bad areas - but I'd like to coat it with some sort of a finish / epoxy / coating to make cit easier to keep clean and look nicer. I can't find a clear answer on what coating would be best for my application. I'm concerned the water and sun exposure will prove the problematic points.
Any suggestions? Would something like an Armorpoxy work without having the UV destroy it / limit the durability?
