I'm in a bit of dilemma with myself and would like some advice and some examples of these garages if any of you have any. Situation is I live in town currently with several limitations and rules. I do not plan on living here much longer than an additional 5 or so years, but, I badly need another garage to park some equipment, some toys and occasionally one of my trucks if need be. I have priced pole barns, stick built garages and these carport garages. The carport garages I have priced have been the A-frame with vertical roof and walls, 9' tall sidewall with 8' tall doors and certified 130/30. I can get the carport garages built with a concrete floor for cheaper than just the pole barn shell built. I realize a lot of you will lash me for asking this because I have read several threads where guys bash on these. But, I refuse to finance a building and I don't want to break the bank on something when I don't plan on being here forever. Granted, I want something fairly decent which is why I have priced the certified, nicer optioned buildings. That being said, what do you guys think are the better brands? Am I missing something obvious for other choices or ways of building a decent garage on a budget? Any examples that you care to share? Thanks in advance for any advice or opinions given and time taken to read and respond!
