I just put a 24 wide x 20 deep metal carport it will be used as a Gazebo area with a hot tub and grilling area with table and chairs it has 2- 8x7 garage doors ( see attachment for drawing ) on my patio concrete that was poured 1st week of January 2026 4000 psi with fiber , the front 5 ft is very light brushed concrete and the back 15 ft is hand troweled ( not power troweled ) it has 3 walls closed ( back wall and 1 sidewall 8x7 roll up garage doors with tinted top glass so that will not be a issue and the 24 ft open span will be framed and have a full glass 36inch door 2- 36X72 windows and a 6 ft wide patio door and will get a lot of sun on this wall I am in South Carolina so the UV protection is important.
Looking for best option I have looked at doing Polyaspartic coating but with adding color and the short working time I will be working alone I would also be concerned about cloor variation since I would have to do small batches .
Questions I have is :
1) will a acid etch be fine for it
2) if not I was concerned about fiber being in the concrete causing problems with grinding or sanding
3) I do not want flake so I would like to have a gloss surface without the slip/ fall danger since there will be a hot tub in there .
I have looked at several options like Armorpoxy, Nohr , Rust bullet etc...
looking for ideas that would be best for this setup ( I have only done acrylic and Polyurea (Armorpoxy SPGX with anti slip ) on plain acid etched concrete .
