I found this on my Facebook feed and all I could think of is that they did a really good job of this but man it sure would have been cheaper to put up a pole barn.

What do you guys think? I would be concerned about longevity and stability in the winds we get here but I guess if someone had an existing carport and a little time they could make a pretty cool looking shop.

Its not about cheap, its about what works, and its about what you personally want.

LOL you worry too much. Your in Mo. the birthplace of the only civil war to date in the country that cost a million lives, relax, take a break, but keep an eye peeled for those damn Yankees, they might slip up on you and steal some chickens. Disguised as coyotes perhaps. You got it made, enjoy la vida. :D

Will send you some pics of my carport turned shop someday, with $5500 in concrete, and $2k in walls, and a $1200 dolla car port, 5ton ac,10k all total over the years, pays for itself in some regard. :wtf: not the worlds most expensive carport, but it runs a close second.

They did a nice job with it thats for sure.

As for the Civil War, I am a buff and live close to one of the major battles here (none of them were very big) and a friend of mine and myself have found several civil war grave sites that were previously lost or unmarked and we logged their location with the local historical society. Its a cool place to go wandering around as long as you dont stumble upon a still or a meth lab!

We keep the Yankees north of Big MO and thats how we like it.

A still and a lab have distinctive smells, that's why they be in the woods, give the air a good sniff, and if your mouth goes dry instantly your too close, bought a trailer once thought someone pissed in it, nope, it was meth heaven on a stove, i could walk by it, and bam,!! dried out.

Sold it and moved on. Watch for booby traps and snakes. They use lazer beam alarms, and game cameras. Had it happen to a pard of mine, he ran into a lab at the salvage yard in the very back next to the river, if he hadnt done time, with the cook, he would not have made it out. Gone now, run over by a firebird and a drunk.
