which one is better, enclosed or open carports? recently contact a builder of carports brisbane located. cant decide if which one is better.

Welcome. Our home had a small 2-car carport on the front, with a garage door on it! Within a week there were 2 more walls added. Since the sun seldom just shines straight down along with rain and wind, I see only a small benefit to an open carport for protecting a vehicle. I would go for a minimum of sidewalls and roof, but then enclosing it into a shed probably isn't that much more $$.

Enclosed, without a doubt. ie in order : no carport.... open carport.... enclosed carport...garage.... bigger garage.... garage with hoist..... garage with $40 million dollars in classic cars...
But- Is there a big difference in cost ? If you have a beater car with peeling paint, then an open carport will keep some of the weather eg hail off the car, and keep a little of the summer sun at bay
