I found this but have not seen it in person and don't know if anything else is included besides what's shown. How old do you think it is and is it worth rebuilding? I don't know enough about lathes to evaluate it's condition. Thanks.1623130412065.png

This tells me you don't want to buy that. How much wear it has dictates if it would be worth rebuilding.
In it day it was probably a good well featured lathe, that was a long time ago. I would say 40's or so.
It has a taper attachment, norton type threading gearbox, clutch drive with a geared head, which is good, whats bad is the threaded spindle nose, which means no reverse running, missing carriage handle, which you could replace with out too much difficulty and the terrible condition.
Its a make that is uncommon (first one I have seen) so most likely you won't find parts for it if you need them, even used.

I wouldn't huy it even for scrap price but I have no desire to rebuild old lathes

Carroll Jamieson is widely considered to have been in the upper tier of tool room lathes of the early 20th century. CJ is often discussed in the same light as Hendey, Lodge and Shipley, Monarch. Even with a little wear due to a long life, it could still perform very nice work in a home or vintage tool shop. I think this would make a beautiful project and enjoyable machine to run.
