Don't ask.
I'd like to keep a grease gun in my truck for occasional use. am looking for a way to carry it with minimal mess.
My tool box is smaller than most. I've found a few carry bags online but they all seem to be in Australia. Are there similar products available in the U.S.A.?

Maybe try a roll top dry bag used for camping? Amazon, etc.

Milwaukee makes carry bags in a number of different sizes. Those my buddy and I have been using the last few years seem to be holding up quite well (he packs his full of tools and lugs them around - I don't tend to overload them the way he does.)
As to whether or not they would "contain" the inevitable mess remains an open question. They do make these in "long, skinny, low-profile". I got these from Cripe Distributing out of Boise.

Are you using a steel ****** or flexible hose ? I think I would maybe look for a plastic tote.

Possibly another thought, you mentioned occasional use, what are you greasing ? Could you get away with a "mini grease gun" rather than a full size ?

We don't currently offer a dedicated carry bag for grease guns. However, our Loop & Lock™ system lets you secure the grease coupler to a storage Zerk, this keeps it locked in place and helps prevent leaks during transport or storage.

You might also consider our Grease Gun Toolbelt. It fits most standard grease gun barrels and holds accessories like a screwdriver, 90° adapter, and needle adapter. There's also a slot for the LockNLube Coupler to keep things organized. The Toolbelt is $21.99 or included free with any grease gun purchase.

These options are designed to help keep your grease gun contained and your gear clean on the go. If you need more details or have other questions, please let us know.

Thank you,

Get a 2-gallon Ziploc and replace as needed. Maybe line it with a pig mat/shop towel.

^ I keep mine wrapped up in a throw-away "tall kitchen trash bag" - it's buried out in the garage somewhere.
I just can't imagine how you'd be able to carry it in a bag and not eventually end up with a greasy mess - consider temperature changes inside the cab of the truck sitting out overnight and then out in the hot sun all day. Irrespective of @Dave455's insistance that his 60-year-old Wanner doesn't leak, I just don't see it as being possible inside the cab of a work truck.

you can tie a glove to a hose, no rubber band required. (faster, though)

I have tried a few storage solutions to help manage leaking grease guns.

I have found plastic totes to work best.

However, if you change your grease type it is possible to greatly diminish the amount of grease seepage that occurs.

I slide an old sock over my grease gun and tuck the flexible hose into it. Have to change it after awhile but it does keep any drips or hot weather leaks from getting on anything else.
