In one of Fitzee's Fabrications videos, he showed his welding cart. Large wheels on one end other end was a pipe foot cross ways to the cart. Reasons 1) if bumped or pulled it doesn't roll off into a car or anything else, 2) Big wheels let it be moved leaned over like a 2 wheel dolly so easy to move over steps or uneven terrain. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6JPmJ_aicru8XPWr3EvJnw/videos

It's been several years but I had good luck with CasterCity.com
Called with questions about suitable wheel material before I bought and they were very helpful.

Surplus Center.com good prices on casters shipping can be much. If you have a heavy load the harder casters roll easier - iron vs rubber. The larger the diameter the easier they will roll over obstructions. I like to put two larger fixed wheels around 2/3rds the way under the load then two swivels in the front.

There are lots of places on the net that sell casters exclusively. I get that for not much more than HF prices one can get a much better product. That said, if the project doesn't require high quality casters I have found that buying a HF hardwood mover's dolly (especially on sale) yields a set of decent casters and some firewood.

these 4" casters for my cart showed up. was suppose to be just 300lb medium duty but they seem more like superduty . oddly theyre made in usa with chinese wheels (website never mention a word about it). ya just cant win no matter what you do i guess.
here they are next to some 4" 330lb HF casters lol. albion capacities must be severly under rated

I used to have a “corporate “ job. And welding bolt on castors to anything would be a fire able offense.

How do you like the Fronius? I went with a Miller 211 I didn't think I really needed a MP machine. Nice work on the cart.

i like it. should have several hours this weekend to mess around with it. 211 can do some decent welds but as you know ,or will soon find out , its very basic machine with almost no adjustability. multimatic 215 i think is only $200 more ,has digital interface with more adjustability and can stick weld. but at that point your nearly at the same price as transsteel 2200 lol
