Ive been shopping for a compressor for a few months now and when Im close to breaking the card out I usually find something that I dont like about the compressor. I have been close to buying a Curtis CA, Quincy QT, Schulz and now a CAS. I just spoke with the CAS Rep and it seems like they have some good machines. The Curtis used reed valves, the Quincy had aluminum heads and reed valves, the Schulz doesnt use rod bearings and has reed valves, those are just a few of the things I didnt like. So far the CAS has disc and spring valves, rod bearings, crank bearings on both sides and a bunch of small positives. I am no compressor salesman, just want to share this info. I asked if the inline pumps were better/worse than a V pump and they said that the inline usually dont vibrate as much. I always thought a 2 cylinder V pump would cool better but they dont offer one. What they do offer is a 4 cylinder V pump which is the same as the inline 2 but instead has 2 banks of pistons.
Do you guys have any info or knowledge to add to this before I order one?
Thank you EOC Jason for bringing up their name!
