how much meat do you have there?
can the part be drilled and tapped?
looks like you are dealing with a small part. I have had good luck MIG welding parts like that.
you will want to use a BBQ to heat the part through and through and then use a torch to do a final heating in the area to be welded.
use a MIG welder to do the weld and then leave in the BBQ for a little to cook off any induced stresses. turn off BBQ and laeve the part in there to cool slowly or you can bury the part in warm sand untill completly cool

I don't have the equipment to braze nor do I really want to experiment or "learn" on something like this.
An oxygen/acetylene torch is on my list of things to buy, someday.
I don't have a mill to make a new one, either.
That's on the list, but the torch will probably come first.
