caster question

I picked up an old snap on box that I am in the process of fixing up, and it needs new casters bad. I am about 400 miles from home today, so I can't go measure them, but is the bolt pattern on casters pretty universal? Thanks!

Sorry to nit-pick over words, but the "pattern" is the same, but the dimensions are not. Take a look at websites like Grainger that show ALL caster dimensions and you will see they vary considerably even to the point where you might not be able to find an exact match in all dimensions.

But if you are replacing ALL the casters then it would be an easier thing to do given that you can always ream out the old bolt holes or even add a new plate and start over.
