I can finally return the compressor I borrowed from my dad a year ago when I started building my garage...
May want to check Zoro for these. They don't seem to sell that model but they sell other models and the 20% off coupon can make them the cheapest place to buy. I just paid $132 for a 5 gallon model where we just needed something to use indoors for parts dusting. Half the noise of our previous "quiet" compressor.
AMEN! I dread that place.although not going into a Walmart is worth way more then $4 to me.
Was just doing some research on their site to see about grabbing one for my dad, and I noticed the new SQ models are *not* the same as the old models.
The SQ series seems to be a new version and is only rated for a product life of 1000 hours (they say standard compressors are 500 hours), vs the 3000 hours on their "regular" line.
They also appear to be a few DB louder.
not sure about other differences yet, but those just jumped out at me...

It’s curious, they offer two series of compressors, consumer grade and contractor grade. The former offering 1000 hours of service life, the latter, 3000 hours. Those letters at the end of the model number differentiate them, but the descriptions of each series are identical. So they make no effort to explain what you’re paying for by spending more, beyond the number.
