CAT 4620AC Tank Marks

I received a new 4620AC compressor last week and noticed it had some strange marks on the top of the tank. See picture:

Do you think these marks are indicative of damage to the tank or that the compressor is unsafe to use? I can't seem to get them off with rubbing with my finger, I have not tried anything more aggressive.

From the angle it looks like something was set on it during shipping. if its not dented and you don't want to go through the hassle of calling the supplier I would get some rubbing compound and see if it rubs out.. a light coat of wax and be done.

looks like normal hose dings and such...cosmetic unless there is more than what is shown.....mine is all beat up, but works just fine.

They appear cosmetic, can't feel anything when touching them with my fingers. I'll try some 3M Adhesive Cleaner on it tonight.
