Cat whisker

Back in the day I had a tool that I called a cat whisker, slang Im sure. Basically it was a short piece of wire with some barbs at the end that could be felt but no seen. ( yes that small )

It was maybe 4 inches in length and was used ( with great success ) to pull a piece of trash or wandering bug out of a newly painted panel. ( automotive )

Someone evidently needed it worst than I at some point and now I need to replace it.

Can someone tell me what these things were called so I can search on-line. Googling cat whisker for paint has been useless.

Yep you are exactly right, stored in a clear tube with a snap-on lid. Called already autobody toolmart and he said it was a great idea but there store has never seen such a thing.

I thought maybe Pro-Pick line of gadgets might of had that product, however, all I see are tweezers.

Thanks very much for the help.

Turns out to be a better day than I thought it had been, I found my old box of paint stuff and sure enough there were enough goodies inside to make me think it was Christmas is August including my dirt pic.

Dont know who made this version but looks identical to the one pictured above with the exception that mine has the nifty storage case.

Anyone that paints needs one of these.

I'll have to pick one up when I start spraying then. Never would have known what it for if I saw it out of its retail package. I went all internet detective for you just to help out but in doing so I learned I could use that at some point soon lol
