See on here some like to collect old vises and anvils from estates and garage sales. Found catalog today that lists some for sale, not quite as cheap as a garage sale, but good selection. I didn't think to check the catalog before I left the sale, so paid $15 for a small Wilton vise embedded in dirt and grease, could have held out and got a Reed or Columbian for not much more! When got home and cleaned dirt/grease off, found it had been welded down to a steel sheet at one time, have to clean that up too. Here's pictures of relevant catalog pages:
