Hello all, looking for a paint code from vintage Cat tool boxes from the 70s. Box looks like this. As you can see, the box is a different color than the tractor. I believe the box would have been made by Metal Tool and Cabinet Company, from Chicago. Thanks in advance!

Thank you but highway yellow is the color for the tractor. I want to paint my toolbox so I want to use the same color as the box in the picture. The box is a totally different color it's orange. Unfortunately I don't have one of those original boxes to get a chip off of or anything.

I looked it up, that's Persian orange like Allis Chalmers used to use. That might be a match.

Yes, I see it every time I go out in the shop and see my CA.

Be careful. There is PO 1 which is 60080. PO 2 has more red in it and was on the later Allis tractors.

Freshly repainted tractors next to each other will vary greatly in color depending on brand, much more than green and red variation. PPG 60080 is considered the closest. Martin Senior (Napa) 99L-50843 is way too red even though its supposed to be the same.

OSHA has a standard safety orange too, ISTR. Might be worth checking that one too.

Both helpful, thank you!
