I hope you didn’t think I meant feet! Here’s my new 6 foot by 8 foot shop.

I live in a mobile home, and only have room for a small footprint, so I finally ditched my little tin shed and got a 10’6” tall Tuff shed. I felt a little bad about not building it myself, but they put it up in less than 2 hours for a few hundred more than I would have spent on materials. Overall it’s pretty good quality.

Here’s the space it had to fit in and the shed just after install.

Next I put a couple coats of paint on it to match my “house”. It came primed, so the only prep I had to do was caulking the trim.

I built my bench and shelving next. 24” deep bench along the back wall with a 24” deep shelf underneath. All 2x4’s and 3/4 ply. I decided on the height specifically to fit the tools I want to store.
Next came the 2 lofts. 24” Deep over the door and 18” deep over the window. I still have 6’4” headroom under the lofts.

The step up into the shed was a little much so I extended my existing paver patio in front of the shed. 2x4 frame scribed to fit my wavy asphalt driveway. Lined it with visqueen, filled with sand, set pavers, and worked poly sand in the seams.

Before I started filling the shed, I figured I needed some flooring. I got a vinyl remnant off my flooring buddy and cut it to fit. I just layed it down loose so I can replace it when it gets torn up.

Finding a place for everything was a bit of a challenge, but I’ve got it beat for now. There’s still enough room to move around and everything! The lofts really help to keep bulky stuff off the floor.

I have been catfished by your thread title, I was indeed expecting a mouthwatering square footage.

Nice usage of the small space, I'm sure that will come in handy.

I almost passed this thread up, then I thought how cool would it be if it were inches..

Nicely done, I love it.

Made a few small upgrades today. Charging station, hammer rack, and a boot hook above the pressure washer so I can’t forget them.

It’s amazing what can be done in a tiny shop. Loft storage is key.
Well played sir!

Almost forgot to post his. I added a chimney to my little shed for the Christmas season. And lit up the place a bit.

Looks Good bud, I love cleaning out my shop and reorganizing and finding space saving ideas for storage and tools. You will find a lot of good information just searching the forums here

The shelter at home order is giving me the time to do some projects I’ve been meaning to do around my mobile home. First up was building a new front porch. It took a while, but I managed to hide every fastener except the carriage bolts holding the railing posts.
