CDI has been making torque tools forever.

They have been a principal player in the torque tool industry but produce for others and did not start producing and marketing their own name until recently from what I know. They brand their stuff for the big guys, but I can not recall who all they make now or have made for in the past. Proto I know for sure but Snap-on, Mac and others have all likely used CDI as their manufacturer at one point as CDI is an established company with a solid reputation.

I recently purchased several CDI torque tools for use with a coating process here at work. We purchased some pretty high dollar items and it is all very nice stuff. I worked with CDI in the early 90s to develop a custom tool for a custom OEM application for a previous employer.

Has anyone heard anything good or anything bad about these torque wrenches?

CDI is a division of Snap-On and has made their torque wrenches for years, even before SO acquired them. Also big in providing torque tools for goverment contracts.
