Cdi torque wrench info

Was looking into building up a collection of a few torque wrenches eventually and was thinking of going with cdi torque models. The only one I have currently is my snap on 3/8 tech angle and I use it for a lot of torque to yield bolts. Although I have been really needing a 1/2 drive one as well and was thinking of getting 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 click type later on too. Had anybody had experience with them and could anyone recommend the cdi angle wrench?
Also I was wondering what would be the best place to get them and what are the ratcheting heads like? (Tooth count, quality, durability)

Hi, I had one I got off Amazon. Price seemed quite fair.

The tool is well made and feels solid and reliable BUT the numbers/scale are kind of etched on and difficult to read under certain lights. I don't have the best eyes and found it too difficult to work with. I figured if I gotta pay more than $100 I should be able to read it.

I went with a Kobalt and really like it. Feels just like the CDI and yes the numbers are hard to read as well but for ~$100 less.. Lifetime guarantee at Lowes helps. I was able to get one that is quite accurate.

I have a 1/2 clicker, 30-250 ft lbs I believe. I like it. Its accurate, everything feels solid. Only con is it has goddamn laser etching, although its a torque wrench, not a socket, so maybe it'll hold up.


Also has three selections, standard forward and reverse, as well as fully locked. Not a big deal really, just thought it was kinda cool.

Tooth count to me for this big of a wrench is a non-issue, but it feels smooth.

To be completely honest, I probably could have bought a <$30 torque wrench and been just as pleased, but I wanted to try a CDI.

Just bought 2 CDI torque wrenches - $218 for a 1/4" dual scale and a 3/8" Nm scale. Very happy.

Pi makes some nice torque wrenches also you might want to check them out. They are a member on here as well
