HJE has a CDI 3/8” torque wrench 10-75 ft lbs for $50. I couldn’t copy the link but if you filter brands to CDI it’s the only item. It is NOS but still seems like a great deal.

Plastic handle that you pull down to set the torque and then push it back up to lock the setting. It's New Old Stock. Mine came set at 32 lf/ft :(

They've had those for years at that price. I picked one up in store when I was there back in 2012. Mine had some documentation dating it to around 1989 manufacture.

Not saying it's not a hot deal though. If you don't mind old stock it's great.

I don't know much about torque wrenches - just that they can be finicky and delicate. I have a couple Chinese specials and have been unsure if I am actually doing any good by using them.

So which more likely to be accurate - this NOS MIUSA torque wrench made circa 1989 and sitting for 29 years, or a new HF one that was (hopefully) just gone through quality control? Maybe the age of this USA one is irrelevant if it has been stored properly?
