Anyone have any experience with the CDI 1503MFRPH? Anyone think there is anything better in the $150 range? Thanks!

CDI (which is owned by Snap On) and PI both make all kinds of torque wrenches, split beams, micrometer clickers, dial types, and both make excellent tools. For the money (from someone like Tooltopia who discounts and gives free shipping) the PI models are a bargain. If you can find a CDI for a competitive price, go for it, they are an excellent tool also.

It is between the CDI 1503MFRPH for $131 shipped or the Precision Instruments (PREC3FR250F) for $126 shipped.

There is no comparison, as one is 20 to 150 lb and the other is 40 to 250 lb., one has a very handy flex head, one does not, one has a spring and mechanism that will eventually wear out or get out of calibration, the other has virtually no mechanism and no spring to get out of calibration. Biggest downside to the PI is that it will not torque left hand, the ratchet doesn't even reverse, as it would destroy the mechanism if you did.

Depends largely on the torque range you need.
