Good deal. The only problem I see is that most of the stuff found at that torque are 1/4" drive, small fasteners.

Well the torque wrench came a couple of days ago.

The auction said lightly used...The darn thing is brand new! No wear on the square drive to indicate a socket was ever put on. It is a quick release, FWIW.

It also has the normal on/off and it has a third setting for non-ratcheting use.

The calibration certificate showed that this one is accurate in clockwise to 1.2% (+/- 4% is the tolerance)

For small engines, ATV's ete.. these work great, Alot of times you have better access or ease of use with a smaller torque wrench.

besides the adapter is our friend:lol_hitti

That's a hellava deal for someone who needs a torque wrench for their upper and lower intake manifold gaskets on a GM 3800 V6.

I bought one also and I think mine looks new also. At most it was used a couple times. The same seller also puts a couple up for auction on a regular basis. I got mine that way for $46 instead of the $50 buy it now add. Looks like they might be all sold out and may start going cheaper in the near future. I wish now I had waited.

If I am needing to torque in the low inch/lbs range, I use a dial torque wrench, not a clicker. I just don't trust these clickers on low torque applications such as intake manifolds on 3.1/3.4s. It's just my preference...

Plinker/Defender,

How does the ratchet mechanism feel on these wrenches. Are they "fine" tooth?

Thank you.

It's a 24 tooth mecanism similer to the older 1/2drv proto ratchet I have. I'm guessing it has about a 9* swing arc , about the same as my S-K 74076 torque wrench.
It has very little play in the ratchet head and is smooth.

I played with it a little yesterday and it's pretty nice.

Thank you. Not too long ago I called CDI and asked what the differences were between a CDI wrench and a Snap On (micrometer clickers).

The phone tech. said the important part, the internal mechanisms, are identical. Snap On uses their sealed ratchet head and CDI uses a "very good" imported ratchet head.
