Hello all.
I've been working on a spare garage building. Replaced some rotten lumber, reframed some stuff, installed new OSB sheathing, and top finished with Hardie brand cement panel.
Built a garage door overhang, and trimmed it out with cedar board. Getting ready to move on to the front of the garage I just repaIred in the previous paragraph. Plan is to trim out the garage with additional cedar.
No interest in faux painting cement trim boards. My house has a large amount of stained cedar on it already. Plan is to match the house.
I see a general coil nailer used to attach Hardie products. I of course, didn't use a coil nailer. I pre-drilled and screwed the cement panel onto the structure.
I don't want to screw the cedar onto the building. Screws will look sh*tty on the cedar.
Any of you guys have any proven advice, in such an endeavor ?? I've looked thru YouTube, and search engines .. nothing specific. I wish I had more experience with cement board. Will attempt to contact Hardie if all else fails.
Thanks, as always. Much appreciated.
