I am working on my 30x40 pole barn I have the walls insulated with the normal batting but without a ceiling I am having trouble keeping the building warm in the winter time I have a 75000 BTU corn stove that I have been trying to use but it just cannot keep up. I'm sure my problem is not having any type of ceiling in this building and that's where my question comes in I have enough left over tin from the original build of the building and what got redone after a hailstorm had hit to be able to use the leftover tin to put a ceiling in it but there's still no insulation factor to that unless I use blown insulation basically it'll just be helping keep the heat down what I had been debating doing was using 3/4 inch thick styrofoam sheets with the reflective material on one side for the ceiling and using the leftover tin on the interior walls I'm just not sure which choice would be best if I put the metal ceiling in I'm looking at about $200 or so to blow in insulation above it at approximately 8 in thick or if I do the styrofoam reflective sheets I'm looking at about $400 so here I am looking for opinions
Thanks in advance
