Ceiling bounce lighting installation?

I am considering installing some new lighting in my new to me shop. Its 20X20X12, painted white. I am thinking about bouncing light off the ceiling using some fairly powerful LED highbay fixtures. Bouncing light off the ceiling is a time honored photography technique giving lots of fill into shadows and generally giving a natural look to the subject.

Other than any design limitations of the fixtures such as proper cooling I think it would work out very well.

Has anyone tried this kind of installation? What do you think?

It's super diffuse but you lose a LOT of light power. If you want to bounce light, do so off a wall where you will get side light into the work area (like under a hood or whatever). Diffuse light from above isn't that great.

I have used some strip led on the top of led converted fluorescents but they were mounted a couple feet below foil covered insulation.
With 12’ ceilings you probably can get even lighting without wasting light by using white ceilings to spread it around.
