I have a 1200 square foot metal building with 16ft roof that I want to put two ceiling fans in. If I did my calculations right I should hang them on a 60" downrod. The units I'm looking at are here: https://www.menards.com/main/lighting-ceiling-fans/ceiling-fans/shop-all-ceiling-fans/turn-of-the-century-reg-56-white-industrial-remote-ceiling-fan/p-1444438412460-c-7486.htm?tid=7947487414139613811&ipos=1

Notice these units have a wall control. My roof is just my metal beams so I can hang them off of that but I need to be able to convert them to plug in to the outlet box that is off by the wall which my main lights are plugged into. The reason for this is I rent this shop and don't want to run conduit for two ceiling fans when there are boxes already up there. I also don't really want to run two more boxes for the controls so is there a way to control it without the wall mounted boxes.

Thank you.

Does the fan come with 60" of extra wires for the added length of the down rod?
I recently installed 3 and they came with just about 60", it was close haha.

Not a big fan of remote control but it seems like that would be your best bet.

Otherwise, regular ole pull string style with a really long pull string :)

What are you going to be doing in the shed? Do you really want the fans only 11' from the floor?
And wouldn't you really want to be able to shut them off at times, and reverse them in the winter?
Adding a chunk of conduit isn't that big of a deal.
