Hey all,

I have a ceiling fan with light kit in a bedroom that is the primary light source. I can not find high wattage (100w)equivalent LED lights using a candelabra base and that are dimmable. Due to the glass bowl covering of the bulbs, space is limited. Has anyone ever used adapters to convert to a “normal” lightbulb style - Medium base? I could even use right angle adapters to save space. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry to rain on your parade, but IMHO medium base lamps (light bulbs) 60 watts or larger were banned from sale for energy conservation reasons.

This explains the 57 watt lamps currently sold.

The reason for the medium base is to use a more readily available higher wattage equivalent. The light maxes out at 60 w. So I still need LEF, so I can use a 100w that is dimmable

Dustball - Thanks for the link !! I have not looked at Menards. I will order a set and try them out.
