Ceiling fan placement

Hey guys. Really wanting to put some ceiling fans in my shop to get the warm air circulating. Question is placement. My shop is 30x40 with a 19 ft ceiling at center. I'm almost done with my mezzanine and I'll have a hobby area for RC planes and such on the left and the right side will be a lounging area with couch, chairs and TV.

Would two 56" fans do the trick above each bay or would you put some similar or smaller ones on the sides over the mezzanine area as well? Or maybe that's just overkill? The fans I'm looking at are industrial and reversable. 4e8b92d4f0f72815d0a5641f6433a0ea.jpgf458194f502620462e3c069fac808d8f.jpg3f309fe20d3bc2c63d5a35769ff10b72.jpgd3fdeac72b28d62628f7769f25116126.jpg027bcb96ca27426e1547b405579e7efc.jpg3592f2909f6337be43b026a60ce3084f.jpg

I have exactly the same size building you do. I have 3 of the fans you show evenly spaced along the peak of my shop. I'm also using the same control you show. It works great! You definitely need the fans to circulate the heat that wants to accumulate at the roof peak. FYI I got my fans for $75 each from ebay.

Good to hear. I'm losing all that heat to the peak. I'm sure reversable will be great as well. I posted this question on another forum and all these guys replies were get yourself a Big *** Fan. No way I'm paying that much. I figure I can get it all done for $500 or less and I'm happy.

Don't mount them under lights as you will get a strobe effect from them. Two or three will make a big difference in heat level in shop for sure. With the mezzanine you probably need to run them as downdraft all the time so that the air flow goes under the decking. Reverse would never get the air under that flooring. Where downdraft would keep the whole garage comfortable.
