ceiling fans

I am winding up the wiring on my 24 X 30. I will have 4 rows of 3 T8 light fixtures, and they are spaced seven feet apart. I am contemplating installing a ceiling fan between each row of lights, making a total of three fans.

Would three fans be too much? Perhaps I would be better off with one large fan (52") in the center rather than 3 smaller fans?

My ceiling is 12' 6" from the floor.

Any recommendations or things to avoid????

I've wired/boxed my 24x36 for two fans, which will each be 60". I don't think one 52" would be enough. Our living room is about half the size of the garage with vaulted ceilings and one 52" is about right in that space.

I have 3 52" fans in a 21 x 26 and I don't think it is too much. I rarely if ever have them on high but in the winter it is nice to keep one on low to keep the heat off the ceiling. In the summer on a hot / no wind day it is nice to have all 3 on medium. The heat may still be there but it feels a lot more comfortable.

The story is they were fans I removed from the house when I replaced them. No place to really put them and I wasn't going to throw them away so 1 then 2 then 3 made it into the garage. I did take the lighting out so they sit up pretty high for a 9 foot ceiling. And suprisingly I have only whacked one of them once with a 10 foot piece of heavy steel, that changed the balance a little but after getting everything back to normal it's alright. I still have two more old ones in the house if they every break. :)

I have 3 fans that I removed from the house and they are sitting in the garage. That was my plan as well. Just need to figure out the best way to secure them since I have a room directly above the garage with no attic or crawl space in between.

Anyone ever put a ceiling fan in a pocket up in the attic so the fan was above ceiling level? I am putting in a bridge crane and can't have them protruding down.
