Ceiling Fans

Wondering how many guys have ceiling fans in the garage. I'm planning on installing a Mr. Heater heater mounted in the ceiling (horizontal vented) and possibly a minisplit heat pump or A/C unit. I was wondering if its worthwhile considering to install a ceiling fan.

The garage is 24'x26' with 11' high ceilings.

Yes plus you can take advantage of reversing the blades to keep the garage heated.

I have two (52 inch, 5 blade) in my 1350 sq. ft. garage and use them year-round. They definitely help to circulate the air from the 3-ton heat pump's 12 diffusers.

I have 1 60" fan in my 1,000 sq foot garage with 15' ceilings. I heat the space with a 45k hanging heater. If I turn the fan off the floor is always wet and the loft is unbearably hot when the floor is 50 or so, turn on the fan and the floor is dry, the temp is more even and the heater runs less often.

I bought a 52'' fan for $15 on Craigslist and installed it in my 24' x 36' garage. Even with the heat in the garage the floor would stay wet after bringing a snow covered car in. But now, I just put the fan on high blowing downward and it dries the floor much quicker. Then I put it back to slow speed and let it run all the time to move the heat around.

I've got a one in my garage and love it. I just went to Lowes and purchased the 3 blade industrial fan with 4 speed wall switch. Sounds like a wind tunnel when the fan is on full blast!

I have 2 three blade industrial style fans I got for $48 each at HD a few years ago. Very nice, and super quiet.

I have 3 ceiling fans with speed control, + 12' ceilings sure helps move air.

I get dizzy lookin' at 'em. But only when they're on!

I replace the noisy one in the bedroom and now use it in the garage...it's great!

I just pulled one out of a job. The plan is to install it over my desk out here to push the hot ait at the ceiling back down.

Just put mine up in my 33x48x16 in the last few weeks. Good investment......heat runs a lot less. Only downside is if I am working right under it, the downdraft has a cool feel to it. That said, the loft is several degrees cooler and lower area is several degrees warmer.

Maybe overkill but I have wired for 4 fans in the 24x30 area under the loft. and 2 fans in the lift bay, to move the heated air down during the winter. Most are on separate switches so I can turn on where needed. I have a window connecting the lift bay with the unfinished loft so I can exhaust the bay cathedral ceiling in the summertime out through the shingle vent area.

I have one high celing bay for the lift. I put one in that bay. Got it at Lowe's. Looks very industrial with three gunmetal grey blades...and the center looks like an Econoline wheel cover.

It has a 5 speed controller and it runs all the time.

I have two ceiling fans I'm looking to get rid of if anybody is in the Chicago area and wants one for their garage. One is about 50" with five blades, the other is 44" with 4 blades, both are 3-speeds and reversible.

Yes, its great for keeping the air moving around to elimate warm or cold spots.
Its a 5 speed Hunter that I keep on low...dead center of my 25x30 garage.
