Hello, I am looking to finish my garage. My big question is for the ceiling, OSB or drywall? I turning it onto my reloading shop. I will be adding duct work at some point in time not sure if before or after I have the ceiling in(depends on finances). Which material would be better for the ceiling? I am planning on doing OSB for the walls. Thank you.

I did drywall on my ceiling. Didn't bother with mud and tape though, just used white gaffer (duck) tape to seal the joints then painted a couple of coats of white emulsion. Walls are painted OSB.

I used OSB.
Primed the sheets before putting up and caulked the edges of the sheets as they went up. This was on a 30x44 with 12ft sidewalls.

After factoring in the money for primer and time spent priming and caulking...If I had to do it over again I'd use metal roof material.
I do like the "texture" of the painted osb but that's just me.

I am not sure what steel price have done, however I think on sale the liner panel is around $55-$60 per 100 sq ft I hope I typed that right.
