I've got a garage with a ten foot ceiling but with the garage door opener I only have 9' of clearance. Will a four post lift fit under this? I mainly want the storage so I need to double stack cars. I also have a void above the left side which I might be able to raise the ceiling height, although I haven't had a contractor over to see if it is possible or not. Is here anything I could do to the garage doors to get the extra 1' of clearance?

I think you can get a 4 post bend pak in that space and stack 2 cars if they are not super tall.

It depends on the size of the cars you want to store (and those Mopars don't look very small. 
) add the heights of the two cars, plus another 6 inches for the lift ramps, plus another 8 inches or so because you have to run the lift up past the detent and then let it back down to rest. Also, the detents on the lift may or may not be located at the right heights to make it all work.
edit: what's inside the flat section of the ceiling? I see there's some sort of access hatch. It looks like there may be some sort of non-structural framing for the flat section, underneath some cathedral trusses - if that's the case, removing that part of the ceiling would give you a lot more headroom in the middle right where you need it to clear the car roof.

I have a PDF of Bend paks HD-9 models and locking heights I can send you. its too big to post on here.
Its an empty space inside the flat part of the ceiling, I guess that is a vent hole? Removing that part of the ceiling would require redoing the garage door, plus entire garage is sheetrocked and so I would like to keep that. Doable, just trying to find a cheaper solution.
