Ceiling Lights with Ceiling Fans, Flashing Shadow Problems?

I'm installing surface mount T8 fixtures on a 4' x 6' grid in my pole barn. In between fixtures, I would like to install a few ceiling fans here and there. The fans I'm looking at are hung 15" below the ceiling, and have a 56" diameter so a portion of the fan blade (about 4 inches) will pass under a portion of the fixture. Will this cause a spinning/flashing shadow problem as the blade passes under the fixture? I'm thinking it will

The amount of flashing depends on the speed of the fan and amount of side lighting from other lights. Might be minimal.

I get a small amount of flash but my lights are mounted completely outside the fan blades. It's totally worth it though drys stuff faster, keeps the temps even, circulates air. Totally worth it

Yes, this is an issue. Suggest either moving the fixtures or reducing the fan size. That said - are you installing new fluorescent fixtures?

I have 24 older 4-foot T8 fixtures. But I'm looking into buying 12 8-foot fixtures.

I had bad strobing on some fan lights in my house. I ended up swapping the light fixture part of the fan with one that puts the light bulbs pointing downward as opposed to near horizontal, they strobe a small amount now and it is much easier to deal with.
