Ceiling mount vs portable floor unit?

Quick question...
Looking for quick temporary electric heater for 400 sq ft uninsulated garage area.
7500 watt ceiling mount unit
Or freestanding portable 5000 watt unit.
Is the extra heat I lose to the plywood ceiling ( and empty attic above it) with the 7500w unit equal to the lesser wattage blowing directly toward me from the concrete floor?
IOW: is more heat up high better than less heat at the floor?
I should add that the ceiling mount units all have better customer ratings and reviews.
Prices all in budget.

I like mine being up and out of the way. The only comparison I have is with the old round kerosene heater though.
