I intend to buy 4' flush mounted fixtures. I'm just curios about installing them in a single row. The Maxlite 4' strip fixtures I intend to purchase have a standard 1/2" knockout on each end.

The only way I can imagine connecting these is to install a coupler on each fixture end, and a small stub of 1/2" EMT conduit to connect the fixtures together in straight line/row unless there is better way ?

Potentially prewire junction boxes above the ceiling surface if you don't like the look of EMT.

When going end to end, a chase ****** is what you want.

For regular surface mount strips though, they usually have a removable bracket at the end of the fixture that doubles as a guide to link other strips together, essentially making one long chaseway through all the strips you have butted together.
