I recently saw a thread about someone talking about these:

http://reviews.northerntool.com/039...u-1500-watt-reviews/reviews.htm?sort=hasPhoto

But i cannot find the thread anywhere! Anyway Im thinking about getting one or two for my shed work shop which is a 12x20 space. I'm trying to decide if I should get one or two.

Can anyone give some advice or share thier experiences using this type of heater. Also my shed is not insulated or anything and I only have 120volt access.

Thanks for the help

I had one of those overhead electric radiant heaters, and it was awesome. It was a smaller place and I still needed more for my feet under a table. Great for spot areas though, so if you spend most of your time in one little area, they are nice.

I have one hung above my workbench in my large shop. They will warm you up when somewhat close and the part that is facing the heater. They heat up the items they radiant on, but not the air. There was a thread sometime back on them, but the fellow never said how well he liked them in the long run to heat his garage/shop. I have thought out more and bigger ones for my shop but I would like to know more about others experiences too.

I have one over my work bench and they are great as a secondary heat source. They are good on they're own at this time of year before you need your main source of heat. They go on sale at Princess Auto for about $60 and are well worth it.
