ceiling mounted TV in shop

Just got this mount and suspended a 40" TV from the ceiling..

Since it rotates, I can view it from different areas in the garage.
Sometimes if I need to look at instructions, I can send a youtube video up to it.

My neck can get a bit stiff watching a tv mounted high but I guess it is normal.

I love my garage TV. Now if there is a program i want to watch. I have no excuse not to piddle in the garage.

I have a cover I put on tv frequently if grinding, welding or painting. Paint spray is attracted to tv screens. My 32" tv is on a metal shelf about 3' above the floor

I don’t have a tv in the shop. The shop has been wired for one, but 7 years after I finished it.....no tv.

Got a good deal on a Best Buy 32” tv. Just waiting to put it up.

My original plan was to mount it above the AC indoor unit you see, but it requires an outlet there. This is much easier I just have the cord hanging down.

"small" TVs are pretty good deal like just over a hundred including a Roku inside.

Yeah, same here, for same amount of time, except not totally finished, so there's that for an excuse.

I've been planning something similar, but I'll be able to use one of the extra ceiling outlets for the garage door opener

Hmmm - nice idea. Lots of unused projector mounts at work, may scarf one now. My 32" (one of two TVs in the shop) is mounted on the far wall. Swivel in the middle might be fun LOL. Going to need a way long HDMI cable though.
