Have any of you purchased and mounted the Lithonia CLX 48" LED strip lights to a drywalled ceiling?
According to their technical support I can either 1) screw the housing directly into the ceiling or I can 2) purchase their hangers to hold the fixture. Option 1) would require that I disassemble some of the components inside the fixture to gain access to the interior of the housing. Then I can mount the fixture and then re-assemble the insides. Option 2) would be preferable but this leaves the fixture with a 1" to 1 1/2" gap between the knock-out on the back of the fixture and the box cover on the ceiling. I would have to bridge this gap with a ****** or something.
Anyone with prior experience doing this?
