Ceiling taller!!!!!!

I don't know if I can do this so I am enlisting help from people who know more than I do. I want to cut the bottom of the A frame in my garage so I can lift my car higher into the ceiling if that makes any sense. What would happen If I did that? And if I did it is there a way to do it safely so the roof would not fall in on itself?

Yes it can be done and has been done numerous times by other members here.

How you do this depends on the type of construction. Post up some photo's of your garage and truss / rafter system.. along with some dimensions.
