After we insulate our garage ceiling, what are some ideas for covering the entire area?
I'm trying to stay away from heavy panel items such as drywall, OSB and CDX.

Thanks, Tony

see my build > ribbed steel siding... you can get #2 grade on the paint since it will be for interior, this will save you some loot. I love it so far, goes up quick and reflects the light like a mofo

I used aluminized bubblewrap. It's sold as an insulating product, but also is fire retardant and reflects a lot of light. Comes in 48"x150' rolls. Easy to handle and fairly simple to install - as long as you don't have a lot of obstacles to work around.

Do you have a name for the manufacturer or a distributor of the metal siding? Regular metal siding is pretty high around the east coast.

There is also that white plastic covering that's used in many industrial buildings.

Mine was purchased from the local Co-op. The manufacturer is McElroy...they have a website. My total cost for the ceiling was about $0.70/ sq ft installing it myself.

I used a white corrugated PVC material called Ag-Tuf from H&F Manufacturing. Kinda like the corrugated steel idea, but it's white already. It still took two people per sheet to hang, just because it's a little floppy with the long sheets. You can see pictures here.
